[release]
Eight doors
Until now, being in the valley was a matter of not clearing your cache. That was enough for a demo and not enough for a playtest, so this release gives the valley a set of doors.
What's new
- Accounts. Claim an invite key, choose a name and a password, and your character stops depending on one browser on one machine. Sign in from anywhere and the valley remembers where you were standing.
- Invite keys. Eight of them, well locked. No open signup — this is a small world for a small number of people, on purpose.
- A front door. Claim, sign in, and play, all from here. Nothing between an invite key and the valley but the ninety seconds it takes to pick a name.
- A way to be heard. A feedback page for reflections, alongside the
in-game
/bugcommand for the things that happen mid-fight.
If you played as a guest and then claimed an account, you keep the character you were already playing — the account attaches to the person, it does not replace them.
The nights are still long. Mind the boar.
